My Story

feather border2I am a wedding and family storyteller (photographer) based in Fourways, Johannesburg but will gladly travel nationally and internationally to capture your story.

I remember when I was young girl I would sit for hours going through my grand parents albums and slides.  I was fascinated with the story that each photograph told, the expressions on my grandparents faces on their wedding day.  I was captivated by the mystery these old images portrayed.  Later in life I found myself looking at photographs to remember a memory that I had long forgotten.  It is crazy how much of life a person actually forgets.  Through creating these memories myself with my own camera I realised my passion.  No it is not photography but to preserve memories for other people that are forgotten in time.

I have been blessed with the most amazing husband, family and friends; who are a constant source of inspiration to me.

One of my favourite verses in the bible is “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles.” Isaiah 40:31.    I have feathers in my business branding as a constant reminder of this verse.

Photography is part of my soul and my camera is an extension of my heart.  I pride myself on being personable and capturing unique stories and moments with every wedding shoot. It brings me so much joy to capture these memories for a new husband and wife or a family.

Some lovely creative portraits that you can frame and make covers for albums are a great way to remember your day.  But the photos that will really matter in years to come are most likely to be the ones that document truly what happened and tell a story. Documenting a wedding isn’t just about taking shots of the stuff thats going on all day. It’s about trying to get context and clarity in your photographs and attempting to use a sequence of photographs to help tell the narrative.
