So last year July I had the amazing opportunity of visiting New York City. We ended up booking an Airbnb apartment in Brooklyn Heights which I am so glad we did. We got to appreciate New York from a different perspective.
I fell in love with the Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO neighborhood. You still feel close to the city and you are only steps away from Brooklyn Bridge Park and that captivating Manhattan skyline but it has the feel of a charming small town. These neighborhoods have so much history and the architecture is inspiring.
When I think back now on our trip the thing I miss and long for the most is sitting watching the sunset over the Manhattan skyline in DUMBO followed by a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade at night.
Here is a collection of some of my favs from this amazing borough. To view what I saw on the other side of the East River click here. We were also in NYC during the 4th of July. You can read all about it here.
