My style is fine art storytelling which stems from love of unique compositions & photojournalism .  In essence I am exactly that - a storyteller through pictures.  I capture the energy of the day, unscripted emotion and moments throughout the wedding day whilst weaving these images together to tell the tale of your wedding day.  Your story is unique and your wedding is a reflection of this.  Your wedding will unfold in a natural and organic way.  I am not their to alter this or stage any events but to observe and be a visual storyteller.

During the couple shoot I encourage organic interaction as opposed to posed imagery.  I also love to capture creative portraits and some lovely wow shots.  I think it's important to have a good balance of both. Some lovely creative portraits that you can frame and make covers for albums are a great way to remember your day.  But the photos that will really matter in years to come are the ones that document truly what happened and tell a story.

Documenting a wedding isn’t just about taking photos of everything that is going on all day. It’s about trying to get context and clarity in your photographs and using a sequence of photographs to help tell the narrative. I treat every wedding differently because no couple is the same, no wedding is the same and no love story is the same.  It is very important for me to get to know each of my couples to fully understand their personalities and vision for their wedding.  One of the best ways to do this by having a chat over coffee.

A perfect wedding day to me is like a good recipe. It s a good mix between Fine Art and Journalism.  It is catching the moments that show true emotion.  Capturing the small details you spend so much time and energy to choose for your day.  Creating some creative portraits.  Whilst tying all these elements together to narrate a story that will bring many years of reminiscing and joy.

Achieving this is what motivates me, and why I love what I do.
